Logo Recreation for the John E. Mack Institute
Client: JEMI
Recreation of the logo of the John E. Mack Institute was necessary because the logo they had been provided with in years past was low resolution, only suited for on-screen display. (Many people are not aware that graphics that are to be printed require higher resolution than images that are intended to be seen on a web site).
I recreated the logo by hand, coming fairly close to the design of the original, including the gradation of light and the rather complex curves of the yin/yang-like shapes.
The recreated logo was used for letterhead (in conjunction with text; the font I chose is Trajan Pro) as well as for other items such as a promotional sticker that was affixed some promotional copies of the 2007 Shift Report.
